That is why we call him Goobs.......

We took off to the beach late in the afternoon thinking that if we got there after 4:30 we wouldn't have to pay to get on the beach.  We were almost right so not wanting to pay full price for just 20min until it would be free we chose to get ice cream on the boardwalk.  Andrew's first ice cream cone.  At first I was trying to jot let him get dirty and help him out.  Some how I relented and just handed all control over to my little one.  He mutilated it and I'm not sure if any of the ice cream even made it down his throat because it was all over his body.  His shirt was saturated in chocolate ice cream.

It was a perfect beach evening the tide was out and there were lots of shallow pools to splash in and run through.  Adam and Zachary had a good time in the water.

Kevin's Wedding

While Adam and Zachary stayed with friends Josh, Andrew and I went to Salt Lake City to my baby brother's wedding.  Our flight out there was Andrew's first time to fly.  He really liked seeing all of the cars, buses, planes etc.  It was fun to see his excitement for things that have become so normal to me.

When we got to Park City we met up with my parents, Kevin and Morgan.  It was the first time that i had the pleasure of meeting my future sister-in-law.  She was better and more beautiful than her pictures or phones calls.  I was happy to give my approval.  I'm so glad that Kevin found her.  when i first saw Kevin he looked just like Allen to me.  He looked so grown up.  It was really cute to see how he treated his sweet heart and just how in love with her he is.

Staying in Park City brought back so many memories for me of my honey moon and the time in my life that I was in Kevin's shoes.  I'm very happy to say that I love Josh more everyday and that the past nine years have been very happy ones.  I look forward to everyday that I have with my eternal companion and I'm so happy that I do have eternity with him.

Saturday the rest of the family came into town.  We went with the Wagstaffs to a extrema aero sports place with trampolines and foam block pits.  I went off the trapeze a couple of times and jumped into the foam pits but in the end I realized that I am getting old and need to work out.  I had a good time with Andrew in the toddler section and watching everyone throw their bodies around everywhere.  We went to a park for a picnic, walked around BYU campus, and had ice cream and the BYU creamery (Yummm).  Allen & Becca and Boyd & Kathryn arrived, let the chaos begin!  Josh and I escaped to a walk on Park City's Main St.  We got back to more family arriving aunt Cathy & uncle Dan and Aunt Jan & Uncle Ralph.  It was wonderful to have so much family there.  I really enjoyed their hugs and catching up with them.

Sunday was great.  We all went to Salt Lake City to see Music and the Spoken Word performed and recorded at the tabernacle.  A first for me.  It was so uplifting the spirit was so strong it brought tears to my eyes.  We then attended Sacrament meeting at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.  The building is breath taking at how beautiful it is.  Everything in downtown is new and kept up.  Josh and I slipped away to visit Josh's family.  We got together with his Aunt Sharon and her family.  they started to tell stories of the good ol'days of sister fights and annoying Grandma Green.  Cousin Karen had everyone in stitches.  While we were visiting Claire and Ella were having a good time playing with Andrew.  They were so sweet with him.  We got back to the condo put kids to bed and visited with family.  My favorite part of the evening was listening to Allen and Becca practice their song for the next day.  They are soooo good and easy to listen to.  I wish I could record them singing and share them with everyone.  I love them so much.

Monday.  The day we have all been waiting for (Kevin especially).  We arrived at the temple and it was a wonderful reunion with family.  Skeels, Bednars, Grandpa, Clarks, Hathaways, Christiansens..... it was wonderful.  As we were waiting in the sealing room I sat there by my siblings and Husband looking into the mirrors and it felt like a preview of what is to come after this life.  Elder Bednar performed the sealing.  He took the opportunity to teach not just Kevin and Morgan but everybody in the room.  He taught that too many people try to fill their lives with stuff and lose sight on what is really important which is each other and that the root to divorce is selfishness.  After the sealing and ring ceremony was over he had Kevin and Morgan stand in front of the mirrors again and this time the parents and grandparents.  He admonished all of the parents to now let go of their children and let them be husband and wife.  He said it in a very nice way but I thought it was profound advice and some that you don't hear enough.  We got to exit the room and as we did we got to embrace the new couple and as i did I was washed with the love that I have for my brother and for my new sister.  I am so happy for them and so happy that Morgan has become part of our eternal family.

It was nice to casually visit with family and meet Morgan's relatives.  The luncheon was perfect.  Us sisters got to quietly give Morgan her "sister necklace".  It was our way of welcoming her into our exclusive sister club.  I was really glad that Heather got that together.  She really thinks of everything.  My favorite part of the luncheon was Allen & Becca singing "Lucky".  They are so captivating.  I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!

My B Day 2012

Thanks to everyone for my b-day wishes.  I had a wonderful b-day.  I woke up to my family singing me happy birthday, flowers, gift, and cookie cake for tonight.  I found myself an amazing piece of furniture that will replace my cluttered mess of a computer desk for a great price at the creat n barrel outlet (I love that place).  Finally we celebrated with a meal that I didnt' have to cook :) Best Birthday!  My 33rd year is off to a great start.

Rutgers Day

Every year Rutgers has a day where they outreach to the community and open up the campus to show what they are doing there.  the students of different departments have booths of their different areas of study and show shat they can do.  It is a lot of fun for the kids.  We went to the science and engineering campus.  the kids got to see all sorts of experiments, play games, jump in a bouncy, dance to live music, and be entertained by live martial arts while we ate lunch.

When I asked them what their favorite activity was they said going down the big slide (which was my favorite too).  Josh said it was seeing the boys play with the models of proteins and H2O.  I really hope that our boys will be like their dad and grandads and want to be engineers.
It looks like it was my favorite part too. :)

Spring Break & Turtle Back Zoo!

They really loved reading the map.  They were working together as a team to come up with their rout they would take through the zoo.

After not getting to ride the ponies this was a distant second for the big kids but Zachary and Andrew really enjoyed feeding and petting the sheep.

I think that the park was Adam's favorite part of the zoo, not the real animals but the fake ones that he could climb on.

Alison is so cute with Andrew.  As soon as we got to the zoo she asked to push the stroller.  It is so nice to have her help.

Turtle back Zoo was great.  We had a good drive the kids were in the pack with all of our fancy devices.....and opps we got car sick.  Adam alarmed us soon enough to give hims a barf bag and it came in handy.  As soon as we got there he relieved himself.  We had a good outing looking at all of the animals.  The highlight was the petting and feeding the sheep and playing on the playground.  The bummer was that they were too big to go on a pony ride.  Zachary wasn't but he was kind enough to not make everyone wait on him.  What a sweetie.  I think that Andrew enjoyed himself.  He was just happy to get out and be with all of us and he even slept in the car both ways.  Love it.  I'm grateful that I have a friend that is a mover and a shaker.  I like being around others that like to go and do things.  Thanks Sheryl for a wonderful day.

Easter 2012

We had a great weekend it was the start of our Spring Break and Easter. The weather has been not too cool and not to hot perfect for playing with friends in the back yard sandbox, riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, and enjoying being outside. Friday we cleaned the yard up and had an Easter egg hunt and died eggs. Ariel, the boy's babysitters saw them looking at what they got in their eggs and she said to her dad "aww will you had eggs for me?"

Oh, did I mention that Adam and Zachary started T-ball. Adam was really hesitant to play on a team but once we got him there he really liked it. Ahh, relief! They were so So cute out there in the big helmet and uniforms. Adam and Zachary really liked the structure of the sport and that there were specific tasked that they were suppose to do as apposed to soccer where it was just a running mosh pit of cleats and shin pads. The coaches that they have are wonderful. Zachary's favorite part was when they played catch the coach and they chase them around the bases. When they caught the coach they dog piled on him. Zach was in heaven.

Sunday morning I got the kids ready in their Easter outfits that I have been planning for months. If I am not going to have girls I'm going to have fun matching my boys in super handsome wares.

On Sunday afternoon we had the McIntyre family over for dinner. It was so nice to have another family over to share Easter celebrations with. We really enjoy the McIntyre's. Not only do we have a good time with the Mom & Dad but our kids have a really good time too. After our dinner we had a big egg hunt in the front yard. Our neighbors came out with their big dog with got the babies squealing with delight. the fun migrated to the back yard where the kids ate candy and jumped on the trampoline till dusk. So much fun.
