Every year at the beginning of May is "ME" time. During that first two weeks of May I was: born (2), Left on my Mission (3), Baptized (4), Married (8), and now that I have had children Mother's day (9). This year for my "me" time Josh took me on an adventure of shooting hand guns at a shooting range. We had some instuction by the range master and got to learn on a 38 caliber revolver. We did pretty good and the really nice guy beside us let us shoot his 45 automatic, and 22 simi-automatic guns. We had some more time so we rented another gun that was a 9 caliber simi-automatic gun. We both got bull's eye at 15 yrds. It was a lot of fun and a good experience. I'm really glad that we got to go and do that. It has made me want to get my licence for a gun. As always Josh amazed me with his natural talent. I'm telling you what he is a sharp shooter. I'm so glad that he is mine!
Josh then wisked me away to the other end of New Jersey to eat really good sushi with some friends from church. It was fancier than any place that I ever patroned while I was in Japan. There were a lot of things on the menu that I hadn't ever heard of. So I just ordered the bento box (the chef's selections). That thing contained some off the wall crazy stuff. The sashimi was so good that it just melted in your mouth. It was an exotic experience. I know that Josh really loves me when he does stuff like....socializing and sushi. Neither one of those are even close to being his forte.
Our traditional trip to the beach and dinner at Kline's Fish Market was the way we spent our 7th anniversary. One of my favorite resteraunts that we have found around here. Their menu is contempary and has a very strong asian influence. I had a scottish organic salmon with a butternut squash ricsotto, in a walnut and canberry sauce. I wouldn't have ever put that combination of food together myself but everything blended so well and the textures of the food played off of each other so nicely. It is a dinning experience that keeps Josh and I coming back year after year.
The next morning I was treated to a german pancake breakfast, flowers, and very nice cards that all of my boys made. I love Mother's day it is the day that I don't have to cook. Josh fixed pork tenderloin with all of the fix'ins (that I bought him). It was a nice day that concluded the "me" time of the year.

Oh, Jena, you are so cute. You may be the only woman I know who would celebrate her birthday by shooting guns (and I grew up in small-town Utah).
Love you! Hope all is well. I don't have internet at home, but sometimes get online. My blog is www.callfamilyproductions.blogspot.com. Check it out every once-in-a-while.
